2023 Fall Builds

We’ll continue our Legacy Pointe Phase Two development and 2023 Fall Builds! We expect to build 8-10 house in 2023-24 and NEED YOUR HELP to make this happen. Become a Sponsor or let us know about your company grants that we could apply for.
We have 10 wonderful Future Homeowner families who have been going through our Financial Literacy and Homeowner Education Program and working to complete their Sweat Equity (350 hours). These families recently graduated and will qualify to buy their own home in 2023-24 though our Affordable Housing Program. Many of these families have been spending 50% or more on housing alone! They will have an affordable mortgage and never pay more than 30% of their income on housing.

Future Homeowner Lisa

Like many Habitat homeowners, Lisa was cost-burdened spending more than 50% of her monthly income on housing alone! She always lived in apartments and never thought she’d be able to buy her own home.
When Lisa was notified that she had been accepted into the program, she was overcome with emotion! “I honestly couldn’t believe it and still can’t,” she said smiling. “I never thought I would get to experience something like this!”
Thank you to First Baptist Church and Fiurst Cumberland Presbyterian Church for their Panel Build to build all of the walls for Lisa’s house.

Leah recently had a son and was struggling to find affordable housing and a plan for raising her son in Middle Tennessee where rents are skyrocketing. She needed something that was convenient to her job in Franklin but rents there are scarce and high.
Thank you to First United Methodist Church for the Panel Build where volunteers built ALL of the walls for Leah’s house in August 2023.

Thank you to MTSU and Exit Realty Bob Lamb & Assoc. for building all of the walls for Frederica's house in October. Thank you also to State Farm Youth Action Grant for matching funds raised by MTSU students!
