MTSU Panel Build presented by Bob Lamb & Assoc. Exit Realty and Amazon!

Students and volunteers from Exit Realty and Amazon will build all of the walls, and a temporary Habitat “house”, in just 5 hours!!

The walls will be built for a Habitat house for Amanda!
Amanda was accepted to attend culinary school but things changed after High School graduation. She moved out of her mother’s house and began “couch surfing” at friends’ homes and spent the next few years staying here and there and working full-time. Her plan for culinary school had to be put on the back burner. She eventually found an apartment of her own and to make ends meet, she had to work multiple jobs for a couple of years. One of those jobs was in the bakery department at Publix. Remembering special times with her grandmother, Amanda quickly fell in love with her job. She has been working at Publix for almost eight years and is currently the Assistant Bakery Manager. She longed to buy her own house but didn’t know how to do that. All of that changed when Amanda volunteered with Publix on a RCHFH build day. After learning how the program worked, she finished the day feeling hopeful. She took a leap of faith, stopped by the RCHFH office, and decided to apply for the homeownership program.
The walls from this panel build will go to the Legacy Pointe site, Murfreesboro and the house will be built this fall/winter for Amanda to move into her new house in early 2026. What a great way to start the year off!
