Community Panel Build presented by

First Baptist Castle Street Church and First Baptist Main Street Church

     

Saturday, March 12, 9a.m. – 2:30p.m.

Where: Rutherford Co. Habitat for Humanity, 850 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN

First Baptist Castle Street and First Baptist Main Street church folks can sign up with their church for 1-hour shifts to help build ALL of the walls for a Habitat house (in just 5 hours!) for Future Homeowner Amber! As the walls are built, they will be used to construct a temporary house – right there in our parking lot!

Volunteers ages 14 and over. No skills needed!

Future Homeowner Amber has been attending Habitat’s Financial Literacy and Homeowner Education program and will complete 300 hours of sweat equity, working on the construction or her house as well as other Habitat houses and the Habitat ReStore. Amber works at Nissan in Smyrna, but is currently living in Columbia. She’s excited to soon be living be closer to work!

Amber’s son is 14 and is very excited to have his own room and a neighborhood to play in. Her three-year-old daughter was born with Coffin Siris Syndrome. and faces health issues daily. She’s looking forward to having more healthcare and services for her daughter in Murfreesboro.
