Step 1...

When you have good, reusable, or new materials to donate, give us a call at (615) 849-5994, if there is no answer leave a message. You will be asked for a description of the materials as well as your contact information (if you can deliver materials you will be given directions).

 

 

Step 2...

Your call will be returned to determine if we are able to use your donation and to schedule a pick-up time.

 

Step 3...

If the ReStore is picking up material, we will call the day of the scheduled pick-up to confirm a time frame (within a couple of hours).

 

Since we only accept reusable materials, our staff may have to decline some materials at the time of the pick-up.

Here is a list of some materials we accept:

  • Appliances, 10 years or newer, clean and in working order (except dishwashers)
  • Brick/Block, palletized on a hard surface, dropped off at a place accessible for a forklift, and delivered to store
  • Cabinets/Countertops, complete, free of rot, in good condition, only large pieces of countertop without sink cutout
  • Carpet, new and rolled 10x12 or larger
  • Doors, no flat panel doors, free of rot, scratches, holes, cracks, and dents and in good condition
  • Drywall, full or half sheets, no watermarks or broken corners
  • Electric fixtures, in working order, rust free
  • Furniture, no rips, tears, broken pieces, stains, or soiled spots, overall in excellent condition
  • Hardware, in good condition with all its parts
  • Lumber, 6 feet or longer, no nails
  • Plywood, half sheets or longer
  • Molding, full lengths
  • Plumbing fixtures, clean, complete and in usable condition, no rusty, old or corroded pipes
  • Roofing, complete pieces of shingles in full bundles, 10 bundles or more
  • Tile, separated by color in boxes, 5 boxes or more
  • Windows, double paned either vinyl or wood, in good condition
  • Sinks/tubs, no scratches, chips or rust inside basin, around edges or around the drain hole (no cast iron tubs)

    Some items that we do not accept are: mattresses, dishes, exercise equipment, lawn equipment, car parts, garbage disposals, clothes, linens, window sashes, shower doors, used sliding glass doors, computers, dishwashers, and stereos.
